Straight answer

What you need to know

Does ECU tuning save fuel? It can, when extra horsepower lets you throttle back instead of lugging. Colton K. saw lower fuel use on a Case IH 340. Corey S. throttled back on a John Deere 8130 after the tune. Gains vary by machine. Files are written in-house in Oakes, North Dakota. We do not delete emissions to chase fuel numbers.

Fuel savings show up when you can throttle back

We do not publish a universal miles-per-gallon claim. Fuel savings happen when the tractor is no longer lugging and you can pull back the throttle with the extra horsepower.

We do not delete or tamper with emissions. Tuning adds power with the emissions system intact.

What farmers actually reported

Colton K. (Case IH 340): CC Diesel sent me a 60 HP tune for our Case IH 340. Support was great and we decreased fuel consumption as a bonus.

Corey S. (John Deere 8130): CC Diesel tuned our 8130 John Deere. We were able to run our strip till bar faster and throttled back using less fuel.

John Deere 8345RT: Tons of power after the tune, idled way back and saving fuel.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions from farmers and dealers. Call (701)-587-4368 if yours is not listed.

01

Does ECU tuning save fuel on every tractor?

No. Some operators use the extra horsepower and burn about the same. Others throttle back and see fuel savings. We will not invent a percentage.

02

Do I need a delete to save fuel?

No. We do not delete emissions. Fuel changes come from the tune and how you run the machine.

03

How do I know what my tractor will do?

Send year, make, model, axle, and transmission for a free estimate. Ask about fuel and horsepower together.
